Application Rules


1. DO NOT modify the application in any way. This goes for questions, formatting, and coding.


2. Answer all of the questions that are provided within the application.


3. Do not answer the application questions in character. This is not meant to showcase the characters personality, unless it is the Sample section, but to give a concise biography of the character being played and show the players knowledge.


4. Grammar and Spelling issues! We should be able to read your applications and posts without having to decipher them. The application is the first impression of you to this board. If the effort is not made to make the application presentable the Administration will not make the effort to read through the post. Make sure that you use Grammar and Spell Check and then re-read your work. Checks can only take into account so much and you often find new or better ways to express yourself upon a second reading of your Application.


5. We need to see that you know the character. Personality will be heavily taken into account. Knowing your character is the only way to RP them well within the board.


6. Your sample post should be a minimum of 200 words, which is around three paragraphs worth of writing. This section not only shows your understanding of the character, but also showcases your writing ability. A sample post can make or break your character, so please take your time in creating it.


7. History can be within 4-6 paragraphs. We allow histories to be copied or paraphrased from Death Note reference sites, but if the history runs longer than 6 paragraphs it will have to be trimmed down. Anything copied into your application will be held to the same standards as any other part of the application so please make sure you read it before it is posted.


8. Personality should be a minimum of 2 paragraphs if not longer. Try not to make it much longer than 5 or 6 paragraphs. This is where you show us your understanding of the character and it is very important to be thorough.

9. Your character may be canon or non-canon, but must follow the story line. Characters such as Light and L are not useable.

10. Do not apply for a role as Kira, but instead as a supporter. To create a more realistic expierence, Shinigami will choose who they want to be the owner of their note.

11. We will only be accepting 6 Shinigami, so check first to see if positions are taken before you apply.

12. Once your application is accepted, you MUST apply for your characters group.

13. Once your application is accepted, the thread in which you post your application will be locked.
